Basement Reno- Final touches

the carpet was installed...


we chose a frize this time- its a bit of a shag:


installed the recessed light trim rings:


the fridge was delivered (its a bit short!):

we stained the island countertop a similar hue as the floor and we added towel bars to the sides:

the end is in sight...

the new back door (it just needs paint)

the previous door was alot smaller than a standard door size and so was the opening in the concrete wall. so we had to jack-hammer the concrete wall at the sill to get the new door to fit!

we installed the engineered oak floor and cabinet doors:

we put an electrical outlet inside the tall pantry cabinet so that we can put a microwave in there to save space on the counter.

we got an island from Ikea:
